Why should we be a Spirit Filled Believer?
There are many who might say that we can live without the Holy Spirit's help.
We find in the Scriptures that we are to "be filled with the Spirit." (Ephesians 5:18)
In order for us to be effective as a Christian it is of the utmost importance that we are Filled and Walking in the Spirit. Others we see our lives are seeing if we are acting like the world and Satan's crowd or is there a noticeable difference. Is there anything that would cause them to be drawn to Christ by the way we live.
The question is how can we be a Spirit Filled Believer?
Three Areas In Order To Be A Spirit Filled Believer!
I. Effective Diet Of The Scriptures:
a) Preached Word
b) Printed Word
c) Public Word
d) Private Word
II. Emptying Daily Of Self (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
Our body was given for:
a) morality (1 Cor. 6:18)
b) ministry (Roman. 12:1-2)
c) marriage (1 Cor. 7)
III. Earnest Desire In Supplication
Psalm 40:8 "I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart."
May we each day make the decision to be a Spirit Filled Believer!

Life Worth Living!
With the number of those committing suicide on the rise, those who would attempt to go through the ups and downs of everyday living; things like broken relationships, bad financial problems, job loses, no job opportunities, hurtful words, death of friend or loved one, and many more downs in life.
Sometimes it seems as if they will never stop coming and the question arises: "Is Life Worth Living?"
When attending Bible College while studying in the Book Of Ecclesiastes, who the writer of the book stated many times; "all is vanity", Dr. R.C. Henry who is at home with the Lord was teaching the class stated this quote:
"If I think life is not worth living, I am a selfish person! Enjoy the blessings of God now and thank Him for all of them!"
Dear Friend, life may not seem worth living! and apart from a relationship with The Living God life seems hopeless. But, there is Hope! Christ came and died for your sin and arose the third day. He is alive today! and offers Eternal Life to all who believe and receive. Ask God to save you, call upon Him and He will forgive you of your sin.
Then, Life Will Be Worth Living!

As this is the first of my blogging experience I am in deep water and unfamiliar territory. My desire is to be an encourager, challenger and a blessing to those who will see these blogs.
I would like to say Thank You for visiting the Academy Baptist web site.
The Lord is blessing Academy Baptist! All the glory and praise is to Him who is only worthy!
